My martial arts journey started at the tender age of 10 with Karate, where I soon progressed to become school boy Karate champion before furthering my thirst for knowledge and skills in Kung Fu and Kick Boxing.
My first proper exposure to BJJ was from my long time friend and who would eventually be my BJJ instructor Robert Naumoski. In 1998, he use to always tell me about BJJ, but it wasn’t until 2005 that I joined up. Since then I have become hooked!
It was not too long before I combined my striking experience with my grappling success into the cage to become a well-rounded Mixed Martial Artist.
I have been immersed in martial arts for over 20 years now, competing regularly and successfully at State, National and represented Australia at International level competition over the last 15 years.
My teaching philosophy is “killing them softly”, allowing even the smaller person to subdue a much larger opponent through technique and the science of leverage rather than brute strength.
At the Liverpool dojo we have a culture of family, honor, loyalty and respect, catering to individual’s goals and exceeding them.
